When I started this blog, I originally thought about using a character instead of my own face. Why? Because I felt it would be much more fun to have something cute that people could associate with the website rather than…well, me.

A part of my name, when translated into English, actually means hedgehog. That little detail sent me digging through the culture of the country I was born, looking for inspiration. Eventually, the idea evolved into a small forest fairy whose appearance is loosely based on a hedgehog.

Designing her, however, was a bit of an adventure. I’m not exactly the world’s greatest artist. Quite the opposite. Little kids get confused when I draw something. So I had to use all the tools available. I asked AI for a bit of help with the design, based on my research and imagination. And that’s how this tiny character came to life.
